The self-cleaning effect thanks to the curved shape of the screen helps solids to remove themselves downwards. This makes the curved screen particularly suitable for use when there is less contamination or as a pre-filter, such as when cleaning internal tanks to remove plastic granulate, seals and plastic parts that could clog pumps and valves.
